Florist Information

INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE FLORIST

  • The florist, or the one in charge of decorations, must notify the Church Office at least two (2) days in advance of the desired time to decorate, so that arrangements may be made for the Sanctuary (and Fellowship Hall) to be open.
  • No pews or furniture (other than the Communion table) may be moved.
  • No nails, screws, tacks, wires, rice, confetti, or similar materials may not be used in the church buildings.
  • All pew standards must be secured to the pews with ribbon.
  • No flowers may be placed on the Communion table. Four pedestals are available.
  • Only Chase (drip less) candles in metal cases may be used, and these are available through the church. Plastic or other transparent material should be used to cover the floor beneath each candelabrum to protect the carpet.
  • Flowers or greens placed on the floor must have protection under them to keep dampness from staining the carpet.
  • The florist should arrange with the bridal party beforehand for the disposition of decorations after the ceremony. The bride should inform the wedding coordinator.
  • Flower girls may drop silk petals only.
  • The Sanctuary and the Fellowship Hall, if necessary, will be air conditioned a reasonable length of time before the wedding, rehearsal, and reception.
  • Please have the Sanctuary decorated at least two (2) hours before the wedding ceremony.

Thank you. Your cooperation in making this wedding a sacred and meaningful occasion is appreciated and expected.
