Spring Musical
The Granada Players, featuring our own Granada students, will perform a musical production, The Big Trip, on Sunday, June 3, 2012, at 1:45pm in the Sanctuary. The Big Trip is a about a group of kids traveling to Jamaica, who become stuck in an airport terminal and meet Farley, another traveler with his own story. Some important and interesting conversations ensue. The production has music, drama, laughs, and a great message. Guests are invited to the teacher appreciation luncheon after the 11am service, before the performance. The play will later be performed at The MIami Rescue Mission. Both performances are free.
Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
On, Sunday, June 3, all are invited to a pot-luck luncheon after church in our Fellowship Hall, in appreciation and honor of our Sunday School teachers of adults, youth and children. Please join us and bring a side dish or dessert.

We currently have over 65 students that participate in our ESL ministry and we would like to invite you to join us! Classes are held on Thursday nights from 7 to 9pm with a 15 minute break starting at 8pm. We are still looking for volunteers to serve in this ministry once a week. Pick up a volunteer application form. CONTACT Gaby Viggiani: gaby@granadapca.org | ext. 113

El Salvador Trip
We are planning a trip to share the love of Jesus with some awesome kids at an orphanage near San Salvador. We’ll build, paint and plant stuff. We’ll teach English to some neighborhood kids who will then teach us how to be graceful losers when we try and play soccer with them. Most importantly, lives will be changed, theirs and ours. Please join us for an informational meeting next Sunday, May 6, immediately after the 11am service, in the Sanctuary Classroom. (Pizza and childcare provided.)
Summer Community Groups
Something new for this summer: 6 weeks of gathering in community with close friends talking about a subject of your choosing. Our summertime community groups will not be based on the sermon series, but on special topics. Do you have something you would like to study? Please submit your idea(s) on the blue connecting card. If you are interested in hosting or leading a group, please write that on your card, too. This short series runs from June 24 to August 4. Don’t worry if you have vacation or time away planned during that time. This round is meant to be a fun and relaxed time of getting to know each other better.
NEW Series: Alpha Begins May 30
Alpha gives everyone the opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. The Alpha course meets weekly for 10 weeks, including a one-day getaway. Sessions begin with a meal, followed by a short talk and group discussion. During the discussion, no question is considered hostile or too simple. Questions might include: Is there a God? Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going? Alpha will be held in the Sanctuary on Wednesday nights from 6:45 to 8pm. There is no charge and all materials are provided. Alpha is exceptionally well done and is a great opportunity to invite people outside of the church to explore faith. CONTACT David McCloud: davidmccloud@granadapca.org
