New Here?

At Granada Church, we’re all about people connecting with and getting to know Jesus.

What to expect on a Sunday morning:

worth-janell-kat-natNo matter which service you attend, at Granada Church you’ll be warmly greeted and accepted just as you are.

There are 3 worship services to choose from, each about 1 hour, 15 minutes:

9:30am – The Heritage service celebrates time-honored liturgy and hymns of the faith. Strong emphasis is placed on the reading of scripture, corporate prayer and creeds, and personal reflection. The singing is led by choir, organ and piano. A typical service includes familiar hymns and songs of personal reflection and prayer. The service culminates in the preaching of God’s word.

11:11am – The same message is preached at both the 9:30 service and the more informal service at 11:11. At the later gathering, music is usually led by a band of skilled musicians and singers. A typical service includes popular modern worship songs as well as time-honored hymns with moments of praise, prayer, confession and celebration. Stick around after the service to meet other people.

11:00am – Our Spanish service is characterized first and foremost by, well, everything being spoken in Spanish. The music is led by a worship team of guitars, drums, and vocalists in typical Latin style. Each week we enjoy the praise, exposition of the word of God and the work of the Holy Spirit giving us life every Sunday.

Wedged in between these two worship times is lively fellowship in our beautiful courtyard with the world’s best café con leche and Cuban bread. (We know that sounds biased but we’ve asked our culturally diverse membership!)

Where do I find parking?

A large parking lot is available on the Bird Road side of the church. Parking can also be found along University Drive, Toledo Street, and on the grass along Bird Road. If all of these are filled, park in the lot at the corner of Granada Drive and Bird Road.

What about my children?

Children are an important part of our congregation and can stay with their parents throughout each worship service. Or our GranadaKids program is waiting for your children to join! Drop off occurs at different times, depending upon the worship service you choose:

9:30am – Children kindergarten – 5th grade can attend a portion of the worship service and then be dismissed just before the sermon to a GranadaKids class or taken directly to that class at 9:30. Children pre-K and under should be checked in at the nursery any time after 9:15. Pick up takes place just after the service is over.

11:00am – All children kindergarten-5th grade stay with parents during the beginning of the worship service until a dismissal time just before the sermon. Pick up takes place just after the service is over.

Feel free to dress comfortably, whatever that is for you. Some would wear a suit, others jeans and a t-shirt. Come as you are!
