El Salvador Trip

We are planning a trip to share the love of Jesus with some awesome kids at an orphanage near San Salvador. We’ll build, paint and plant stuff. We’ll teach English to some neighborhood kids who will then teach us how to be graceful losers when we try and play soccer with them. Most importantly, lives will be changed, theirs and ours. Please join us for an informational meeting next Sunday, May 6, immediately after the 11am service, in the Sanctuary Classroom. (Pizza and childcare provided.)

College Mission Trip Bahamas: Lindsey Summerill

Serve the World - Bahamas 2011 I have been part of Granada for six years and recently went on a college mission trip to the Bahamas.

We spent our trip painting, working with youth, and delivering food. Though the entire trip was wonderful, I was impacted most by two events. When we worked with the church’s youth group, Mark Norman taught on being made in the image of God and I noticed some kids seemed confused or awed. I have never been in a youth group where the kids have never heard the Gospel or God’s unconditional love for them. Listening to their thoughts and questions on the topic was amazing because I got to be a part of their growth, and they helped me with mine.

College Mission Trip Bahamas: Joanna Sabater

Serve the World - Bahamas 2011 This summer I had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Freeport, Bahamas with the Granada College Group.  One major goal of our trip was to build a relationship with Lucaya Presbyterian Church, and we did that through working with their youth and painting the exterior of the church.

College Mission Trip Bahamas: Nayla Curcio

Serve the World - Bahamas 2011 God gave me the opportunity to go on my first mission trip this past May.  A group from the Granada College Group went to the Bahamas for five days.  It was so helpful to have one of our own students, Georgina Prineppi, in the Bahamas helping with logistics for our team.  We worked with Georgina’s home church, Lucaya Presbyterian Church.

The STW team’s vision is to see the Granada Family involved in missions and mercy.  If you would like to go on a trip but financially it seems an impossibility, please come to the informational meeting and sign up for the trip.  There are many ways that funds can be raised.

Cuba Mission Trip

Last year a group of 6 went to Cuba on a exploratory trip in an effort to understand how the Granada Family could be involved in ministry on the island.  The trip revealed amazing opportunities for ministry and reconciliation.  Traveling to Cuba is not as simple as traveling to other countries and currently we are waiting on a permanent license to travel for humanitarian reasons.  A trip is being planned for December 2011.

Trip Dates:  December 5-10,  2011

Informational Meeting:  TBA
